Types of residence cards in Turkey

In general, 5 types of residence cards are currently issued in Turkey.

  • Pink card

  • student card

  • Blue card

  • Turkovaz card

Pink card

The most common type of residence card in Turkey is the pink card (Pembe Kimlik).

This type of card, which is known as Kimlik Tourist, has a short-term stay of 1 year.

This card is given to a person by buying or renting a property.

Of course, there are other conditions for getting a pink Kimlik card, which has been announced in previous posts.

student card

This type of card, as the name suggests, is issued to students.

Öğrenci Kimliği student card (Öğrenci Kimliği) is issued for the convenience of students at the beginning according to their years of study.

To put it more simply, undergraduate students, for example, if their study period is estimated to be 4 years, will be issued a 4-year Kimlik.

Note: Students should be aware that if their grades are low, they are placed on probation or their absenteeism is high, these cases will be immediately reported to the immigration department by the university and their stay may be canceled.

Blue card

This type of card, which is also known as the Challenge Card, is issued to people who are working in Turkey.

In addition to having excellent insurance, this type of card also has a wonderful option.

This option is such that if you renew this type of residence card for 5 years, it will lead to a Turkish passport.

Note: this card must be renewed every year and this happens through the employer.

 

Turquoise card

This card is one of the newest types of accommodation.

This card is given to holders of club positions or elites.

Of course, the process of receiving it, like the Kimlik tourist card, does not end with registration.

You must apply for the Turkovaz card on behalf of the company or club where you work.
